U. S. DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY ANNUAL REPORT ON SMALL BUSINESS PROGRAMS

FISCAL YEAR 2004

WASHINGTON, DC -- The National Council of Minorities in Energy (NCME) is pleased to congratulate the U.S. Department of Energy on it’s Report to the Secretary on the U. S. Department of Energy’s Small Business Programs and the U. S. Department of Energy’s Strategic Plan for Small Businesses.

The Department of Energy’s, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, Annual Report to the Secretary on Small Business Programs for FY 2004 and it’s Strategic Plan for Small Businesses FY 2005 documents activities taken and goals achieved during FY 2004 and those planned for FY 2005.

Additionally, the report includes the accomplishments of programs within the Department to encourage the participation of small and small disadvantaged businesses. The Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) mission is to serve as the agency’s focal point for small and small disadvantaged businesses in contracting with DOE.
