Assistant Secretary for the Office of Policy
and International Affairs, Department of
Energy. In this position Ms. Bailey brought

experience in energy issues to the position.
Ms. Bailey served as primary advisor to
Secretary Spencer Abraham and senior
Departmental management on issues related to
the development and implementation of the
nation’s energy policy.
Ms. Bailey has over 20 years experience in the energy industry with high ranking appointed positions at the executive level. With expertise in regulatory policy and strategic decision making as well as knowledge of government and Capital Hill. Leading energy policy official with experience in the international industry. Outstanding reputation and management skills as well as capabilities in fostering contacts and business relationships. Hands on attitude and the unique combination of business education and a broad range of experience as corporate executive, state and federal regulator, and sub-cabinet member. Extensive skills and contact with issues of public policy and corporate management in energy, environment, and international relations and resources. High-level security clearances in effect.
